Cambridge Who's Who Names Kate Reynolds Weller Professional of the Year in Arts, Media and Entertainment
Ms. Reynolds Weller's love for writing has landed her a successful writing career
PALM CITY, FL, January 11, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kate Reynolds Weller, Writer for Pethumorbooks.com and Jewelry Designer for CordonKate.com, has been named a Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Arts, Media and Entertainment. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Cambridge Who's Who membership.
Ms. Reynolds Weller runs an online bookstore, Pethumorbooks.com, which features her writing (her pen name is Kate Reynolds), and a jewelry company, CordonKate.com, where she offers one-of-a-kind jewelry designed with seashells and ribbons. As a hard-working professional, Ms. Reynolds Weller is continually writing; she is currently working on a play and compiling a poetry book. In addition, she actively markets her published works. As a jewelry designer, she produces necklaces and belts from sea shells and visits stores to sell her products.
Her love for writing has allowed Ms. Reynolds Weller to publish three pet humor books. Her first book, "Memoirs from Moe," contains 134 photos that she took herself. Her second, "The Time Marches on Dog Book," was inspired by her female miniature French poodle puppy, Dr. Sam. Ms. Reynolds Weller' third book is a sequel, "The Family Portrait Album of Dr. Sam and Bingo." She just completed her first play, "Dogz," a musical comedy, and has written more than 150 poems, which she is compiling for a book titled, "Two Minute Love Poems Poured from the Soul."
Ms. Reynolds Weller began writing while she was a high school student at Mount Saint Mary's Academy, and was an editor for the school newspaper. She went on to work in television for three years, first on the Jack Paar and Dick Cavett shows, then moving on to be a personal secretary to actress Marlo Thomas. She wrote summaries for shows while working at Viacom. Even though life subsequently took her in many different directions, she ultimately returned to writing.
A graduate of Chestnut Hill College, Ms. Reynolds Weller holds a Bachelor of Arts in English. She is a former chairwoman of the fundraising committee for the Benjamin School, and former secretary of Harbor Village Townhouses, Old Port Cove Condominium, in North Palm Beach, Fla. During the course of her career, she has been recognized with numerous awards.
If she could have lunch with anyone dead or alive, Ms. Reynolds Weller would choose her ancestor George Washington, to whom she is related on her mother's side. Looking to the future, Ms. Reynolds hopes to be recognized for her writing and have her books widely read. She also hopes that she will be remembered by her peers as an inspiration and as a loving, giving and creative person.
