The Unsigned Radio Show, Debuting February 2012, To Feature Unsigned Music Industry Artists And Professionals
UNSIGNED Radio Show debuts Feb 5, 2012 in North Central Indiana and Ohio to a potential listening audience of 200k+. The show will feature independent music solo and group acts and their music along with interviews of industry professionals.

KENDALLVILLE, IN, January 04, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- A new 30 minute radio show will feature unsigned artists from the Midwest United States along with exclusive audio interviews of music industry professionals.

The show's creator and host, Patrick Hess (owner of Day 6 Design in Kendallville, Indiana), said, "Unsigned Radio Show is just a part of an overall business strategy designed to help unsigned music artists get discovered." He added, "The radio show is definitely an airwave based radio station, but will have both streaming versions and podcasts of the show online as well."

The show was a brainchild of Patrick after having learned about the difficulty of independent and unsigned artists getting real radio airplay. The music industry and radio stations have such a tight referendum on "who" gets airplay that the unsigned artist is often left to pay hefty sums to get shopped to stations or to hire a radio plugger consultant.

Not all artists who submit their music for airplay are chosen.

"We want to be fair, but also want the music to be radio quality recordings and be commercially viable," said Patrick. "The best part of this new business division of my company is that it includes a website which will allow the artist to showcase their music and also provide written reviews of the artist and their music for use in their press kits."

Patrick added, "To the unlearned artist, the music business is about getting signed and getting the gold paper ala American Idol. However, that's similar to hitting the lottery. Most artists face a long road of self-promotion and building a fan base before any label will take them serious."

That's where Unsigned Industry comes in the picture. While the artist is building his or her portfolio of music and performing around their area, they could use some publicity and airplay to back them up.

While the artists chosen to be featured on the radio show must become site members ($25 per year), the upside is the amount of potential listeners (over 200,000 geographic listening audience) for the radio show and the help that a music / artist review can give an artist trying to build a press kit.
