TAFA: The Textile and Fiber Art List Launches New Website
TAFA, an organization of fiber artists and handmade textile businesses launches a new site which promises to become a major hub for this community. The website showcases its members through profiles and a powerful search engine. www.tafalist.com


PADUCAH, KY, January 20, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- TAFA: The Textile and Fiber Art List was launched in January 2010 on a Blogger platform with the goal of helping its members reach a larger market through the group. TAFA's strategy included setting up hubs for its members in the major social media sites and on Etsy. We now have active groups on Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+ and Flickr. Within a year, TAFA had grown to almost 200 members, making it clear that the blog format could not support the needs of the group as it grew.

A core group of members met as a think tank on a private Facebook group, identifying member needs for the site. In the summer of 2010, the members successfully held a campaign on IndieGoGo to raise funds for the new site, a total of $5,000. The designers were hired and after five months of hard work, the new site has finally been launched to the public.
