Ms. Young is a business professional who harbors a strong passion for books and reading. She combines her skills, creativity and passion in her role as director of marketing and special projects for the National Book Foundation, a nonprofit oraganization that honors great American literature. Ms. Young is responsible for promoting National Book Award-honored authors. She also handles collateral materials. Ms. Young, who joined the National Book Foundation in 1996, attributes her success in this position to her love for her work.

In 2010, Ms. Young earned an MBA from St. Joseph's College. She previously received a Bachelor of Science in business administration from The City College of New York. In addition to her work with the National Book Foundation, Ms. Young is a co-founder of the YB Literary Foundation, which strives to advocate the reading of literature as a meaningful, life-long activity and transformative experience for youth. She also serves on the advisory board of WETA InReads.
