IRVINE, CA, December 09, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Inside Edge Foundation for Education will be hosting its 25th Anniversary Holiday Celebration featuring internationally acclaimed theologian and inspirational speaker, Rev. Dr. Matthew Fox, who will be speaking on his book, The Coming of the Cosmic Christ, on Monday, December 19, 2011, at 5:00 p.m. at the University Club, U.C.I. Campus, 801 E. Peltason, Irvine.

Matthew Fox, who was a member of the Dominican Order for 34 years, has authored 30 books including best sellers, Original Blessings and The Hidden Spirituality of Men, and his two new books published in 2011: The Pope's War: Why Ratzinger's Secret Crusade Has Imperiled the Church and How It Can Be Saved and Christian Mystics: 365 Readings and Meditations.

Inside Edge Marketing Director and Board Member, Christi Mottola said, "In the spirit of the holidays, we will be celebrating the essence of the Cosmic Christ in all beings, and its meaning in today's world which is begging for compassion, healing, hope and love."

The event begins at 5:00 p.m. with a no-host bar, holiday buffet dinner is at 5:30 p.m., featured speaker Matthew Fox is from 6:00 p.m. - 7:15 p.m., followed by dancing and holiday cheer. Matthew Fox (b. 1940) who is an Episcopal priest and activist, holds master's degrees in philosophy and theology from Aquinas Institute and a doctorate in the history and theology of spirituality from the Institut Catholique de Paris. He founded the Institute in Culture and Creation Spirituality and has received numerous awards including the Peace Abbey Courage of Conscience Award which has also been given to the Dalai Lama and Mother Theresa.
