Explore Deep Space at the From Earth to the Universe Exhibition in Sydney
Fans of all things extra-terrestrial may be interested in an exhibition on show at the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney.

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA, February 04, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- An exhibition exploring the depths of space could be just the thing to occupy those staying in hotels in Sydney over the next few months.

On display at the Powerhouse Museum, the From Earth to the Universe installation showcases stunning photographs of some of the universe's most spectacular sights.

Pictures of star clusters, nebulae and supernovae are among the pieces waiting to delight visitors at the centre, which is located near Darling Harbour.

Running until July this year, it is a great way to discover the field of astrology and indulge an interest in the stars above.

In addition to the photos, which were taken using some of the world's most powerful telescopes, there are also exhibits featuring some of the earliest astronomical tools.

A hand-crafted replica of one of Galileo's telescopes is among the historical items included in the museum's collection.

People who want to find out a bit more about the things they are looking at may want to book onto one of the tours at the establishment, which are led by astronomers in conjunction with the Sydney Observatory.

General admission to the museum costs AU$10 (GBP5.53), with concessionary rates also available and it is open every day from 10:00 (local time) until 17:00.
